Private River Lounge

We offer two semi-private lounge and relaxation areas exclusively for Western 1924 guests. These riverfront rentals are just a short walk from our Lofts, located right by the water for a serene getaway. Each space is equipped with large shade umbrellas, comfortable chaise lounges, and a grill, perfect for unwinding or enjoying an outdoor meal. Both areas share a bathroom, sink, and San Marcos River access for soaking and swimming. For safety, children should wear flotation devices such as floaties or life jackets. Be sure to bring any food, snacks, grilling essentials, and beverages you want to enjoy. Please note that Martindale enforces a can-ban, so glass and canned containers are not permitted. If you’re looking for San Marcos river activities like kayaking, swimming, or just relaxing, this is the perfect spot.

Shoppers can be sure to find incredible deals on sought-after names. The shopping mall is also home to exclusive retailers that can’t be found anywhere else within the state of Texas, including Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Zadig & Voltaire, Victoria’s Secret, and lululemon. If you’re an avid shopper or just looking for some good deals, the San Marcos Premium Outlets provide a shopping experience that doesn’t break the bank.

The History and Evolution of Outlet Malls

Outlet malls first appeared in the 1930s, when they were located near factories and sold discounted “seconds” or past-season styles at steep discounts. Over time, these shopping destinations transformed, moving closer to major cities and incorporating entertainment, coffee shops, and restaurants. Brands began designing products specifically for outlet stores, making them an important part of the retail industry. Traditional indoor malls have faced challenges recently, especially during the pandemic, but large open-air shopping centers—like San Marcos Premium Outlets— are seeing a strong comeback. Conveniently located off Interstate 35, this outlet destination cannot be missed.
